10 ‘Colleges of Distinction’ awards recognize Saint Martin’s University’s deep commitment to exceptional higher education
LACEY, Wash. — It’s widely recognized within the Olympia community that Saint Martin’s University in Lacey is a local treasure. Now the University’s long-standing commitment to quality undergraduate education has been honored with 10 Colleges of Distinction national awards recognizing the school as a top college.
U.S. News and World Report ranks Saint Martin’s #16 in best value among regional universities in the West
LACEY, Wash. — Saint Martin’s University has earned a place among the country’s best regional universities in the West, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Colleges rankings. The University has been named #16 for Best Value, #34 for Social Mobility and #42 among Best Regional Universities in the West.
Saint Martin’s University announces the passing of Director of Athletics Steve O’Brien
Steve O'Brien, JD, Director of Athletics at Saint Martin's University, passed away on August 5, 2024, due to complications from Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). O'Brien joined Saint Martin's on October 8, 2022, with his wife and two sons. As Director of Athletics, he led thirteen NCAA Division II athletic programs and provided visionary leadership, strategic planning, and policy development for the department.
Legislative internships for Saint Martin’s University students in Lacey offer great access to government leaders and professional development
LACEY, Wash. — The Washington State Legislature 2024 session provided hands-on experiences to six Saint Martin’s University student interns, the largest group from any college in the state. The University’s Internship Hub in the Center for Career and Calling collaborates with the Legislature’s Internship Program, offering students the opportunity to earn academic credit while helping to solve real-world problems by assisting the state House of Representatives and Senate.
