Saint Martin’s University announces Dr. Tanya Smith Brice as its next Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs
LACEY, Wash. -- Saint Martin’s University announces Tanya Smith Brice, Ph.D., as its new Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs following a national search. She will assume the position effective July 1, 2023. Smith Brice currently serves as the Vice President of Education at the Council on Social Work Education.
Saint Martin's University announces Rose Crumb Nursing Scholarship
LACEY, Wash. – Saint Martin’s University alumnus, Patrick Crumb ’85, along with his wife, Karen, and Patrick’s eight siblings, have created an endowed scholarship to support undergraduate nursing students in memory of their mother, Rose Crumb. This generous endowment gift comes as a vital contribution to the For Every Saint Campaign, as we near our goal of $100 million.
Saint Martin's University English Professor Jeff Birkenstein, Ph.D., receives second Fulbright Award
LACEY, Wash. — Saint Martin’s University announces that Professor of English Jeff Birkenstein, Ph.D., was selected as a 2023-2024 Fulbright Award Recipient. His project, titled “Short Stories, Food, and Exile in and beyond Israel” will focus on how food is an important part of the exilic culture of Israel. He will be teaching and researching at Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv in the Spring of 2024 and working closely with Bar-Ilan creative writing professor and novelist Evan Fallenberg. This is the second Fulbright award Birkenstein has received, his first taking him to Petrozavodsk State University in Russia in 2010.
Reunion Weekend & Saints Golf Classic
Join your fellow Saints at Reunion Weekend this year on August 4-6! Events kick off on August 4th with the Saints Golf Classic, the largest fundraiser for Saints Athletics raising funds for student-athlete scholarships. Return to campus to reconnect, share memories, and celebrate your time at Saint Martin's.
