Priority deadlines
Students must apply for formal admission to the MIT program before or during the semester in which they complete the pre-professional sequence of courses required for program admission.

Admission requirements
In order to be considered for full and unconditional admission* to the MIT program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited (or equivalent) college or university
- Completion of all three subtests of the WEST-B exam. SAT/ACT scores can supplement the WEST-B exam requirement. If you plan to use this test in place of the WEST-B exam, you will need to provide an official score report of the exam.
- Overall 3.0 undergraduate GPA or graduate coursework GPA (those not meeting these criteria may be admitted conditionally)
- Completion of all required pre-professional courses with a grade of C or higher in each

Students who preregister will be processed on the assumption that they will satisfactorily complete all coursework presently taken.
*Students not meeting these requirement will be considered for conditional admission. Saint Martin's University recognizes that while previous performance is a valuable indicator of potential success there are those who have demonstrated that potential in other ways than traditional academic performance.
How to apply
These application materials are required for entrance into Saint Martin's University and the MIT Program and must be completed before your application can be reviewed.
Step 1: Complete the online application for graduate admission
Step 2: Submit all remaining supplemental / supporting documents to the Office of Graduate Studies & Admissions
- Official transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended sent directly from the institution to Graduate Studies & Admissions
- Test scores: An official copy of WEST-B results (reading, writing and math) -- review our admissions resources for detailed information
- SAT/ACT scores can supplement the WEST-B exam requirement. If you plan to use this test in place of the WEST-B exam, you will need to provide an official score report of the exam
- Two letters of recommendation, plus either a third letter of recommendation or a professional reference with contact information
- Up-to-date CV/resume, no more than two pages in length, representing your most recent education and work history.
- Proof of fingerprinting and clearance through OSPI
- WSP fingerprint background check form, and
- Receipt from fingerprinting done at an Educational School District (ESD) office — review our admissions resources for detailed information
- Completed Pre-Residency Clearance Application (review instructions for E-Certification)
- One or two page personal goal statement describing your educational career pathway, your motivation to become a teacher, and your goals as an education leader

Step 4: Submit pre-enrollment materials
Once admitted, students will be required to submit the following pre-enrollment materials. We encourage applicants to get these materials in as soon as possible (even during the application process) as they are needed before students can register.
