Saint Martin’s University is committed to supporting each student—regardless of national origin or citizenship—in their educational journey.
Our Catholic tradition calls us to uphold the dignity of all persons. Human dignity is not dependent on a person’s citizenship or immigration status. As members of one human family, we are to welcome the stranger and stand in solidarity with the most vulnerable and marginalized among us. Our Benedictine charism invites us to listen with the ear of the heart and welcome the other person as Christ. We do all these in our promotion of justice, peace, and the common good. As his holiness, Pope Francis, recently shared, “The true common good is promoted when society and government, with creativity and strict respect for the rights of all...welcomes, protects, promotes and integrates the most fragile, unprotected and vulnerable.”
As a Catholic university, our educational mission calls us to observe the sign of the times. The resources included on this page will inform you about Catholic social teaching on immigration. We have also included links to legal information. Help us spread awareness in support of our students and families.
