Background

Erik Moore’s career has blended cybersecurity operations leadership, academic research, and technology innovation as an inventor. He is a partner in MetaTink LLC, a start-up currently developing a patent portfolio in the areas of cybersecurity, digital education, and application development. In addition, he is a partner and Cybersecurity Architect, consulting at DevilDog LLC, a full-service cybersecurity company. He has held executive director-level roles in government, transforming cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, and fleet services. He also designs virtual world avatar-based scenarios for teaching cybersecurity that have been used internationally. In academia he held roles such as Associate Dean of Engineering and Information Sciences, Chair of Information Technology, and President of the Faculty Senate.

Erik Moore prefers research that contributes to the sustainability, resilience, and advancement of human society. His research interests include cybersecurity, education, society, 3D builds for cyber security, and behavioral sciences. Currently he is working on a range of projects to increase capacity and resilience in cyber defense. Topics of research interest include:
