Nancy Faaren

Adjunct Faculty, Post-graduate School Administrator Certification

Nancy has over thirty years of experience as a school administrator in middle schools, high schools and at the central office.  Her work spans a wide variety of settings:  rural, urban, small schools and large comprehensive high schools.  As the Assistant Superintendent for the Olympia School District she hired, supported, and supervised principals at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

She is passionate about recruiting and supporting excellent school leaders. Principals hold the key to the creation of the best learning opportunities for every student.  They do this by building strong relationships with students and parents, having supportive systems in place, hiring outstanding staff and making meaningful connections in the community.

After retiring from the Olympia School District, Nancy has enjoyed crafts and dinners on the town with grandchildren, fluid acrylic painting, learning to play the cello, and working in her garden. She looks forward to more adventures and travel in the years ahead with her husband, John Rosenberg, and their pup Charley.

It is her privilege work with aspiring school administrators in the Saint Martin’s program.
