Background

Saint Martin's alumnus George Parker '71 earned his Ph.D. in Polymeric Composite Technology Engineering from the University of Washington. He is an industry expert in the analytical technology for mass spectrometry. He has applied innovative ways to improve the process of polymer fabrication. Dr. Parker is currently a research chemist for Boeing.

George was named to the “Who’s Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges” and was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers of the NBA.  He served two years in the Army as a scientist and engineer. In 2017, George received the Career Communication Group (CCG) Black Engineer of Year Award (BEYA) – STEM as the 2017 “Senior Technology Fellow”.
