On behalf of everyone at Saint Martin’s University, it is my pleasure to welcome you!

I invite you to explore all of the intellectual, cultural, and spiritual opportunities that Saint Martin’s has to offer, and to experience the Benedictine charisms woven into the fabric of our University’s culture.

Saint Martin’s is a place where you can make a positive difference in your life and in the lives of others through the interaction of faith, reason, service, and community. You can engage with distinguished faculty through more than 70 undergraduate and graduate academic programs using the latest technologies and techniques. And, you will connect with people who make student life welcoming, vibrant, and meaningful while surrounded by the Pacific Northwest’s stunning natural beauty.

There has never been a more exciting time to be a Saint!

Saint Martin’s is constantly changing and expanding to include high-demand, community-centered academic programs such as Women, Gender & Ethnic Studies, certificates in Computer Science & Business, Theology & Religious Studies, and our first doctoral program in Leadership Studies. This year we are also launching our new 4+1 Special Education program that allows students to earn their Master’s a year faster than traditional programs! Regardless of your academic pathway, our rich liberal arts tradition will allow you to learn the critical thinking, effective communication, and leadership skills you will need to make a positive difference in the world.

We have also expanded our Student Life programs to give each student the opportunity to succeed. Our Saints Care student support network brings together the campus community—faculty, staff, families and students—to help students navigate campus life. We’ve added a new Diversity & Equity Center student lounge at the heart of campus and on-demand, 24/7 Counseling Services to support your health and well-being. Plus, you can enjoy campus favorites including our delicious Poke bowl, and our inspiring Multicultural Mass and Christmas Under the Canopy events!

We believe that your learning journey should include enriching off-campus experiences as well. Through our new Internship Hub, Saint Martin’s works with more than 1,500 employers in a 100-mile radius to ensure our students are world-ready upon graduation. From internships and service-learning to study abroad and alumni networking programs, our integrated learning approach will prepare you for success after graduation!

In fact, our alumni frequently tell us that Saint Martin’s gave them so much more than a degree. As students, they built lasting friendships and experienced what it means to “live with heart”. Like you, they joined this small, inclusive community of life-long learners and future leaders. They experienced a community proudly rooted in traditions, inspired by progress, and guided by purpose. After graduation, they pursued promising careers and graduate programs, and they took with them a deep sense of what it means to live and lead with heart.

Your Saint’s journey will be filled with so many opportunities for academic exploration, holistic learning and development, and personal growth grounded in our Catholic identity, Benedictine charisms, and liberal arts tradition. We are grateful for the chance to guide and nurture you along the way.

Welcome home to Saint Martin’s University!

Living with heart,

President Jenn Bonds-Raacke, Ph.D.
