Tryout criteria
- Must be enrolled as a current full-time student at Saint Martin’s University.
- Marty must earn and maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average throughout the year.
- Adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Code of Student Conduct as specified in the Student Handbook.
- A passion for Saint Martin's and our Saints community.
- High-energy and a big personality.
- Capable of comfortably dancing, walking and moving for extended periods while wearing the Marty costume.
- Willingness to attend events and games on assigned weekends and weeknights.
(Events will be split by multiple mascots.) - Pose for photos during game-day events and special occasions, capturing memorable moments for fans and participants alike.
- Maintain silence at all times while in character.
Scholarship information:
- Marty must earn and maintain a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average throughout the year to receive the scholarship and continue their Marty position.
- Scholarship will start at $1,000, if Marty meets expectations of the contract and Financial Aid eligibility then scholarship will be increased by $500 up to $2,000 per year.
Application and tryout video deadline
Application and tryout submission due: May 14.
Video submissions should be less than two minutes.
Two Marty the Mascots will be chosen by June 14.
