Background

Jenny Serpa is of Peruvian Quechua and Scottish heritage and makes her home in Lacey, WA. She has her Master in Public Administration with an emphasis in Tribal Governance from The Evergreen State College (2012) and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Washington (2006). Jenny has worked with Northwest Indian College since the Spring of 2014 and is currently the Extended Campus Site Manager at the Nisqually Campus. Jenny has taught a wide range of courses but specializes in Political Science and Cultural Sovereignty. Jenny has taught and guest lectured at other colleges and universities on Non-Profit management, History, Food Sovereignty, Federal Indian Law, and Tribal Governance. She volunteers with Indian Education Programs and Non-profits across the state and is the faculty sponsor of the Nisqually Student Alliance.
