Background

Cheryl Phillips is a sought-after professional freelance bassoonist in the Puget Sound area. She has performed regularly with regional symphonies and ensembles which include Olympia Symphony, Tacoma Community College Orchestra, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, Rainier Symphony, Bremerton Symphony, Federal Way Symphony, Ballard Civic Orchestra, Orquestra Northwest as well as professional freelance recording and performance projects, as a featured soloist and in festivals such as Chelan’s Bach Fest. The Band Yes, and John Lennon’s longtime drummer Alan White once commented to her onstage, “Wow! You really know how to lay down the bass line, Lady!” She lives in Tacoma, Washington with her husband, Edgar.
