Saint Martin’s Abbey warmly invites you and your parish community to a Lenten exhibition of photographs by Christine Knodt (1940–2022), a close friend of the monastery for nearly fifty years.
“Painted Jesus” comprises eighteen silver halide black-and-white photographs of the crucifix in the Abbey cemetery. Created over the course of a single afternoon in 1981, these images were previously exhibited at Rockhurst College in 1992 and are now presented in a newly established gallery space outside Old Main 401 on the campus of Saint Martin’s University.
