The monks of Saint Martin's gather daily to offer prayer, to praise and listen for God's voice at different times of the day: morning, noon and evening. These moments are the hinges of daily life when the community is reminded of God's loving presence. Saint Benedict described this round of daily praise and prayer as the opus Dei, the work of God. The monks also gather daily to celebrate the Eucharist. The public is always welcome to share in the prayer life at the Abbey.

Faith is a cornerstone value for Saint Martin's University. Saint Martin's University is Catholic and Benedictine - a faith based institution of higher learning. Saint Martin's has been explicitly founded and is intentionally rooted in the spirituality of Saint Benedict of Nursia. This spirituality finds its energy and identity in the Rule of Saint Benedict - a document that insists God is to be known, experienced and loved in the context of community and in the daily events and routines of our lives. It is this spiritual vision that motivates and drives Campus Ministry at Saint Martin's University.
