Transform your perspective: An Intercultural Communication Discussion

Join us for a intercultural communication discussion with faculty from Saint Martin’s University and Petrozavodsk State University (PetrSU), Petrozavodsk, Russia

What is intercultural communication and why is it important for us to understand? How can/should we communicate respectfully and effectively in a global society? What are some examples of stereotypes we hold on to and believe; how can we better align ourselves with the truth? Our faculty panel (Professors Irina Gendelman, Jeff Birkenstein, John Hopkins, Kathleen McKain, Jamie Olson, and Igor Krasnov, visiting Fulbright Scholar to SMU – 2018/2019) came together on live feed from Washington State and the Republic of Karelia, Russia to discuss these relevant questions.
