Registration (A&R) and fall Incipio orientation

What is Advising and Registration (A&R)
A&R combines math and English placement tests, one-on-one academic advising and class registration into an exciting

All students (including commuters students) are strongly
encouraged to stay the night on campus, so be sure to bring:
- Bedding for
a twin bed or sleeping bag
- A towel
- Closed-toe shoes
- Comfortable clothing
Who should attend A&R?
Every new student is strongly encouraged to attend an
A&R session in order to register for
classes and participate in placement testing.
Parents and families of
students are welcome and encouraged to attend events planned
specifically to help connect them to the Saint Martin's community. There will be
several opportunities for parents and families to ask questions and
engage with the campus community.
What is alternative advising?
If you are unable to attend one of the Advising and
Registration sessions, alternative advising options may
be requested. Requests for alternative advising will be
reviewed and students will be notified of the decision
shortly thereafter. Approved students will be then
contacted by Diane Rodriguez, director of advising,
beginning in early July.

What is Incipio?
Latin for "to begin or become," Incipio is your key to success at
Saint Martin's. Incipio is a four-day orientation program designed to fit your
needs as a first-year student. The schedule is full of information and fun
including a New Student Convocation for students and families followed by a
family farewell BBQ lunch at President Heynderickx's house, a day of service,
Coffee House music night, and much more!
AHANA Connections introduces students of color to Saint Martin's University's campus and creates a network of friends and community. The program enhances the first-year experience of students of color by encouraging relationships and involvement across campus.
