The MME degree requires 30 credit hours for the degree.

Many program arrangements meeting the requirements for the Master of Mechanical Engineering degree are possible.

Students are free to take any of the approved courses for which they meet the prerequisites. The following are listings for courses in the Thermal/Fluids area, the Mechanics area, and Controls area.

Students can choose courses from a MME area of emphasis or any combination of MME courses, as long as:

  • MME courses make up a minimum or 21 credit hours
  • Approved MCE / MEM courses make up no more than 9 credit hours combined

For detailed information about all requirements for the degree and policies concerning the MME program, please see the academic catalog.

 Note: The courses cross-listed in both ME and MME programs will require MME students more academic rigor, expectations, and standards. Any MME cross listed course will not count for students who took the ME equivalent course.
