I grew up right here in the beautiful rainy city of
Olympia, Washington. Many of my childhood years were spent saving
drowned worms and dreaming of being an animal doctor, a dream which I am
currently working toward making a reality with my studies at SMU.
I am majoring in both Biology (pre-vet) and English. People often ask me
why an aspiring vet would want to major in a humanities subject, and all
I can say is that I just love it. I've always had my nose buried
in a book, even as a kid. I was the fourth grader in the little
school library who read a different Star Wars sci-fi every day, flying
through the pages and totally transfixed by every element of the
unfolding plot.
When I am not studying or pursuing my love of the
English language, I am probably spending time with my adorable schnauzer
puppy (Bentley), watching the newest Hollywood flick, or devoting
a few hours to a quality rpg. I will be turning 21 this year and
hopefully spending my summer at Cambridge studying both biology and
literature.
