Lacey, Washington — On Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, the Saint Martin’s University community will welcome celebrity chef Mario Batali to its Lacey campus for Meet the Chef, 3 p.m., and the Saint Martin’s University Gala, 5:30 p.m. Proceeds from both events support scholarship funds for Saint Martin’s University students. The theme of this year’s Gala, “La Festa di San Martino,” reflects the Italian flavor of the event. “La Festa di San Martino” refers to the feast day of the University’s namesake, Saint Martin of Tours, celebrated November 11.
