Lacey, Washington - Saint Martin’s University has appointed Juan Flores, Ph.D., to the newly created post of dean of admissions and student financial services.

Flores was named as the University’s director of admissions in August. In that position, he is responsible for creating a diverse and academically prepared student body. In his new post, he also will oversee student financial services, a key role that helps potential Saint Martin’s students finance their education and is crucial to student retention.

“In the short time Dr. Flores has been here, he has brought new direction and a clear vision for the recruitment of students,” said Saint Martin’s President Roy Heynderickx, Ph.D.

Flores earned his doctorate in leadership studies from Gonzaga University. He has a master of education degree in educational leadership from the University of Portland and received his undergraduate degree in biology from Colgate University. He has extensive work experience in both secondary and higher education.
