Saint Martin’s Annual Crab Feed set for Feb. 20
New
“green” feature: nearly 100 percent of the waste will be
recycled!
Feb. 5, 2009
Saint Martin’s University will hold its
5th annual
“all you can eat” crab feed on Friday, Feb. 20 from 5-10 p.m. in the
Marcus Pavilion. Tickets are $35 per person if purchased before Feb. 20
or $40 at the door. The price includes all you can eat crab, unlimited
non-alcoholic drinks, $2 beer and wine, entertainment and a dessert
auction.
All proceeds benefit Saint Martin’s intercollegiate
athletic teams.
“This year’s event also fits with the University’s
efforts to ‘go green’,” said Bob Grisham, athletics director. “Nearly
all the waste will be recycled including the plates, knives and forks,
thanks to the cooperation of Thurston County Solid Waste and the LeMay
Company.”
“We are really pleased to make this a ‘green’
event,” commented Roy Heynderickx, the University’s new president. “Our
Catholic, Benedictine tradition calls us to steward God’s creation
carefully.”
