Celebrate the Christmas Season With Saint Martin's Procession of Carols
Nov. 22, 2004
Lacey - Saint Martin’s College’s invites the community to help usher in the
spirit of the Christmas season with the college’s Procession of the Carols, a
wonderful - and free - family event that will begin at 5:45 p.m. Dec. 5.
Sponsored by the college’s department of music, office of alumni relations
and Campus Ministry, the procession will begin at the doors of the Old Main
building’s Pacific Avenue entrance, 5300 Pacific Ave. Small groups of guests
will be greeted by escorts and ushered through halls laced with carolers and
musicians. After short concerts by the Saint Martin’s College Chorale and the
Puyallup Youth Chime Choir on the upper floors of the building, guests can
attend a candlelight mass at Saint Martin’s Abbey Church, then follow the light
of the luminarias back to St. Gertrude Dining Hall in Old Main. There, guests
can enjoy refreshments during the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony and a
Christmas carol sing-along to music by the Saint Martin’s College Concert Band
and American Legion Band.
Please make reservations by Dec. 2, so the elfs will know how many cookies to
bake! Reservations can be made by contacting the office of alumni relations,
