Saint Martin's faculty will head state counselors association Friday, August 20, 2004 Lacey, Wash. - Associate Prof. Dan Windisch, Ph.D., director of the Master of Education’s Director Guidance and Counseling Program at Saint Martin's College, has been elected to a three-year term as president of the Washington Counseling Association.
“Dr. Dan Windisch has been a backbone, leader, visionary and exceptional workshop leader and keynote speaker for the Washington Counseling Association and Washington School Counselor Association for the last 10 years,” said Chris Kelly, the association’s executive director. “He has had a major impact on counseling and school counseling in Washington state.” Windisch previously served as the association’s president from 1998-2001. He is a past treasurer, as well as a past chair of the ethics and bylaws division. In recent years, he has taken on other leadership roles within his profession, including those of vice president for higher education for the Washington School Counselor Association and executive board membership for the Washington Association of Multicultural Counseling and Development.
