Saint Martin's engineering students receive scholarships

Lacey - Two Saint Martin’s College
students have received scholarships to help with their engineering
studies.
Jessica Schadt, salutatorian of the
college’s class of 2004 and an Olympia resident, is the recipient of a
$1,000 Douglas P. Daniels/Coral Sales Scholarship. She recently
completed her bachelor of science in civil engineering degree and has
enrolled in the college’s Master of Civil Engineering Program. Schadt,
who works for Sargent Engineering, also received the Saint Martin’s
College School of Engineering’s Civil Engineering Student Award for
2003-04. Her scholarship is one of several nationwide awarded by civil
engineer Douglas Daniels, principal of Coral Sales Co., a Milwaukee,
Ore.-based firm that specializes in highway hardware.
Andrew Albertson, a Lacey resident and
graduate of Timberline High School, is the recipient of a $1,000 Brian
F. Doolin Aerospace Scholarship. Albertson, who is a mechanical
engineering major, expects to graduate in May 2006. Doolin, is a Saint
Martin’s alumnus and a retired engineer who worked with NASA on the
agency’s space program.
