Saint Martin's Admissions Director to serve on boards of two collegiate organizations Thursday, June 26, 2003 Lacey, Wash. - Saint Martin's College Admissions Director Todd Abbott has been elected to serve as Western Region representative on the National Catholic College Admissions Association board. He will represent 19 Catholic colleges and universities in Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii.
Abbott also recently was elected to a three-year term as treasurer of the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling. The 500-member organization consists of college, university and high school admission professionals and high school counselors from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. The association oversees admissions practices for the Pacific Northwest, working to develop and maintain high standards that promote ethical and social responsibility among those involved in the process of planning for postsecondary education. The organization also works to promote and protect the interests of students in the postsecondary education planning process, develop professional competency among its members and support networking and communication opportunities among members. Abbott, a 1995 Saint Martin's College graduate who currently is working toward his Master of Business Administration degree, has served in the College’s admissions office since 1996.
