Welcome
Message from the
dean of students
Whether you are a prospective student or current student,
parent, alum, friend of the
University or just browsing, we
welcome you. At Saint Martin's
University, we strive to support
student development both in and
out of the classroom. The
Benedictine monks of the Saint
Martin's University and Abbey
are grounded in the Rule of
Saint Benedict which emphasizes
hospitality, outreach and
community. Within our community,
there are many unique
opportunities to support your
development as a student and
individual.
Student affairs mission statement
Promoting the Catholic Benedictine understanding of
faith, reason, service, and community, the Department of
Student Affairs educates students through experiential
co-curricular programming. We teach continual
listening and reflection in order to foster an awareness
of difference that encourages students to work towards a
just society. Our students will understand their
moral obligation to a multicultural world and become
faithful, compassionate and conscientious stewards of
their communities.
The following departments work collaboratively to facilitate student
success:
Sincerely,
Melanie Richardson
