Anyone can make a mistake, forget a payment, have a temporary money crunch. But what happens when you miss four or five payments or don’t pay at all? You will be reported to a credit bureau as delinquent and defaulted on your loan, you won’t be able to get transcripts, or financial aid at any other college and your loan will go to collection.
