Dr. Butler is a licensed clinical psychologist who is committed to the practice and teaching of psychology as a science. His personal interests and areas of expertise include professional ethics, evidence-based practice, the anxiety disorders, third-wave cognitive-behavioral treatments that incorporate meditation and elements of Buddhism and Yoga, the relation meditation and Yoga to mental health, and substance abuse and dependence.

Munn’s expertise is in the areas of the psychology of women and eating disorders, with special interest in body image development of young girls. She also is interested in teaching techniques appropriate for the adult learner and in actively involving students in the research process.

Steiner's academic background is in the study of the biological bases of behavior. She applies the biological perspective in many courses, including general and developmental psychology.
