The MAC Alumni Handbook:
Chapter 1:  Introduction to the handbook

Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFC), a Chemical Dependency (Alcohol and Drug) Counselor (CCDC), a Sex Offender Treatment Provider, a Domestic Violence Counselor, and so on can be personally and professionally beneficial in many ways. Now that you have graduated from the MAC program, we encourage you to work toward this next step. The two major requirements for most licenses are:

  1. to amass three years  or 3,000 hours of post-graduate experience under supervision
  2. to pass a state-approved examination.

This web page is designed to help you in that process.
