Women's studies requirements
Women’s studies offers a comprehensive program that provides students
with a multidisciplinary body of theoretical and factual knowledge about
women.
The minor gives students information about women’s experiences, history
and changing roles, thus offering a valuable background for most
professions and an important complement to any major.
Coursework includes scholarship by and/or about women in literature, the
arts, history, science, politics and other relevant fields of study. It
also analyzes the experiences of women with respect to social,
psychological, cultural and biological factors, and the construction and
representation of gender.
