Dick Roney is the owner of NW Tax & Financial Services in
Centralia, Washington. The firm is devoted to assisting and
educating individuals to a more "worry-free" retirement through
"tax-reduction" planning. He has over seventeen years
experience in the financial services industry. He is a former
educator, credit union executive and public relations specialist.
He was on the board of directors of a large financial institution
and served on the board of the Olympia Country and Golf Club.
Roney received the Saint Martin’s University Distinguished Alumni
Award and is active with Saint Martin’s University Athletics. He is
a 1964 graduate of St. Martin's College. Over the past 35
years he has served the University in many areas. He is a past
president of the Alumni Association, helped found the Saint Martin's
Golf Tournament, and was a founding member of the Saint Martin's
Athletic Foundation.
In 2006, Roney worked closely with Al Eckroth (HS ’62, ’66) and
Dr. Richard B. Hecker (’81) to institute the annual President’s Gala
and co-chaired the event (2009-12). He is former vice chairman of
the University’s board of trustees.
