Program mission statement
The mission of the Office of Institutional Advancement is to:
- Promote Saint Martin’s University’s cause among its alumni, parents
and friends.
- Raise funds in support of Saint Martin’s University’s Benedictine
educational mission and its priorities.
- Build strong relationships between Saint Martin’s and its various
constituencies.
The office executes its mission in a variety of ways including personal
contacts, publications, direct mail marketing, phonathons, and special
events and programs.
The office follows the codes of ethics of the various disciplines
represented in the higher education including the Council for Advancement
and Support of Education (CASE), the National Committee on Planned Giving
(NCPG) and the Association of Professional Researcher for Advancement
(APRA). In addition, the Office of Institutional Advancement conducts its
work in accordance with the standards of the University’s Benedictine and
Roman Catholic mission.
