Program mission statement
The mission of the Office of Admissions is to support the overall
operation and mission of Saint Martin’s University by recruiting, admitting
and enrolling qualified first year and transfer students in appropriate
numbers to maximize the use of the University’s resources, to support the
institution financially, and to enroll students who will benefit from the
University’s blend of a classic liberal arts education and Catholic
Benedictine beliefs and traditions.
Program goals, objectives and outcomes
Quantity: To attract a sufficient number of freshmen and
transfer applicants each year to meet institutional enrollment and revenue
goals.
Quality: To attract an applicant pool and subsequent
enrollments whose personal and academic backgrounds will support their
success at the University academically, socially, spiritually, and in
certain cases athletically.
Ethics: To achieve the above goals by supporting
Catholic and Benedictine values and in compliance with the Statement of
Principles of Good Practice of the National Association of College
Admissions Counseling.
