Study abroad programs
Semester and year long programs
Semester and year long experiences can either be done through an
approved Saint Martin's partnership or a sister university program.
Be sure to visit with your academic advisor in order to be approved for
a Saint Martin's partnership or a sister university program. Semester
programs are approximately 15 weeks and yearlong programs are around 36
weeks. Be sure to visit with your academic advisor in order to determine
the best time and length of study abroad experience that works for you.
You can earn credit toward your major, minor, or elective requirements.
The cost of a semester abroad is often nearly the same as a semester at
Saint Martin's. Most students remain eligible for financial aid and may
receive additional scholarships!
If you do not speak another language, do not worry! You can study abroad
in an English speaking country, such as Australia or England, or a
non-English speaking country where you can take classes in English and
other classes to learn the local language. For example, in Madrid you
can take business classes in English and other classes to learn Spanish.
Additionally, a variety of housing options are available, ranging from
dormitories and university apartments with local students to host
families.
Check out programs in the sidebar for study abroad opportunities you
might be interested in, then come by the Saint Martin's Office of
International Programs and we'll provide you a list of
universities from around the world you may attend.
Our sister universities in Korea and Japan offer direct tuition
exchanges; that is, you only have to pay Saint Martin's tuition to study
at a chosen sister university! Also, room and board scholarships are
often available! For more information please contact the study abroad
office.
Summer study abroad programs during the summer
Summer study abroad is a great way to gain international experience without missing an academic
semester or work during the year. Programs are available around the
world and typically last several weeks. Class sizes are often smaller
than semester or year long courses, yet you can still earn academic
credit toward your degree or elective requirements.
