Study tour information for faculty

Are you interested in teaching a course to students in a different country?  If so, you have come to the right starting place.

JCET in the rain photoLeading a study tour experience is a memorable and possibly life changing event for you and the students. Beyond developing relationships and taking in new sights, many other benefits exist including:

  • Network with faculty at other foreign universities and discover collaborative projects and unique research opportunities.
  • Strengthen your own campus courses as a result of the new perspective you bring back to Saint Martin's.
  • Enhance the overall academic experience for students by providing an alternative perspective to learning subject matter.
  • Develop student confidence and character by facilitating personal growth, independence, and a stronger sense of direction and interconnectedness to the world.

“It is such a privilege to witness students deepen their understanding of another language and culture outside the classroom. They learn so much from the each other as well as the experience of exploring a different country.” – Kathleen McKain, Ph.D SMU French professor
