Computers:  guest accounts

Saint Martin's University provides numerous information technology resources in support of its educational mission.  The college permits guests to use designated computers in the library if they accept and sign the Acceptable Use Policy for Guests.   Please note the following restrictions:

  • Guests should limit their time on the computer to one hour.

  • Students, faculty, and staff always have priority for computer usage.

  • Guests will not be logged on between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday-Friday while classes are in session.

  • Guests will not be logged on at any time during mid-term week, the final week of classes, or final exam week.

  • Guests can only be logged on designated computers in the library's Information Commons.

  • Guests will not have access to scanner stations, including scanners, CD burners, digital cameras, or other media equipment.

Here's how to apply for a guest account:

  • Print, read, and sign the Saint Martin's University Acceptable Use Policy for Guests (PDF).  Copies are also available at the reference desk.

  • Drop off the signed form at the O'Grady Library reference desk any time we're open and pick up your guest card, which is valid for one semester.

  • When you want to use a computer, show your guest card to the reference staff member and he or she will log you on.

  • You will be asked to update your registration information each semester.
