Both the main-level Technology Classroom and the lower-level Seminar Room are equipped with a ceiling-mounted Boxlight video/data projector, a combination VCR/DVD player, and a stereo sound system. The projector can project videos from the VCR/DVD player to the large screen behind the instructor station. For details on using the the projector with the instructor's computer, see

Getting started
- Lower the screen using the switch to the right of the whiteboard. Once lowered, please return the switch to the neutral position.
- Turn on the projector with the projector remote, pressing the green Standby/On button. The small light visible on the bottom of the projector should change from orange to green. It will take a few moments for the lamp to reach its full brightness.
- Dim classroom lights as needed with the switch next to the whiteboard (on its left in the Technology Classroom and its right in the Seminar Room).
Projecting a videotape or DVD
- The VCR/DVD player is on the lower shelf of the instructor's cart, and it has its own remote.
- Press the Video button on the projector remote to switch to video display mode.
- Start the VCR/DVD with the VCR/DVD remote or the power switch on the VCR/DVD player.

Insert your videotape or DVD.
- Fast-forward, pause, rewind, or turn off the VCR/DVD player with the VCR remote.
- Make sure the RCA amplifier power switch is on and turn the audio Input knob on the amplifier to VCR. Adjust volume with the Volume knob on the amplifier.
Turning equipment off
- At the end of your class, please turn off the projector with the projector remote, pressing the green Standby/On button. You will need to hold the button for a few seconds until the light on the bottom of the projector changes from green to orange.
- Turn up the classroom lights.
- Turn off the VCR/DVD player.
- You may leave the screen down and the RCA amplifier turned on.
- If you have used the computers, log-off the instructor station and have students log-off their workstations, but please do not shut-down the computers.
- Please leave both the projector and the VCR remote on the instructor's cart.
