The
O'Grady Library has two networked computer classrooms. The
main-level Technology Classroom has one instructor and 24
student workstations. These are new computers equipped
with 2.8 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 processors, 40
gigabyte hard disks, DVD-ROM/CD-RW drives, and 19 inch flat-screens. The lower-level Seminar Room has one instructor and 18 student workstations with flat-screen monitors.
These computers are equipped with 1.7 gigahertz Intel Celeron
processors, 20 gigabyte hard disks and CD-ROM drives. All computers run Windows XP and have the standard
Saint Martin's University computer lab
software package, including the full Microsoft Office Suite,
Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visual Studio
.net, MATLAB, and MINITAB. In addition, Inspiration, Adobe Acrobat
7.0 Professional, Picasa, and Microsoft Save to PDF are installed in the Technology Classroom
and Misty City Grade Machine is installed in both the Seminar
Room and the Technology Classroom.
The Technology Classroom is also equipped for a
wireless Lavalier
microphone.
Each classroom is equipped with the following:
- Vision classroom management software
- Boxlight video/data projector
- DVD drive (instructor station)
- Headphones (in printer cabinet)
- Laser printer
- Overhead projector
- Remote presentation mouse (checkout from circulation desk)
- Stereo sound system
- USB ports (in front on instructor station)
- VCR/DVD player
- Whiteboards
Please note that arrangements for software installation or other special
technology should be made at least one month in advance, if needed for the start
of the semester, and at least one week in advance, if needed during the course
of the semester. All software installed for an instructor must be properly
