catalogs These are kiosk stations that provide access to the library's catalog.
Circulation desk This is the service area where books may be borrowed and reserve materials checked-out.
Computing services The library is home to the administrative offices of the college's Integrated Technology Services.
Conference room This room seats 12 and can be reserved by faculty or staff for meetings.
Group study rooms On this level are three of the library's eight group study rooms, which are available by reservation for student, faculty and staff use.  Contact the circulation staff to reserve a room.
Information commons This joint venture between the library and academic computing blends traditional reference with computer services.  Students have the capability to consult reference books and electronic resources, manipulate data and write papers without leaving their workstations.  Librarians and technology professionals are available for consultation.
Library administration This area contains workspaces for the library's administrative assistant and the library director.
Multimedia center The center is designed to facilitate the use and creation of multimedia resources.  In addition to housing the library's audio, video and software collections, two viewing/listening rooms, one video editing room, and four scanner stations allow individual and group work.  Computer graphics, video editing and other design-intensive software are available on the computer workstations.  See Multimedia center for details.
SMU reference This area houses the O'Grady reference collection, which includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, research guides, handbooks, bibliographies, and statistical sources.  In the catalog, reference books are identified by their location:  "SMU Reference."
Technology classroom Technology intensive classroom that contains 21 student and one instructor workstations.  See Technology classrooms for details.
