I think my computer has a virus, what should I do?

First make sure you have the latest DATs (Virus Definition Files).  Follow these steps to do this:

1) Double click the Magnifying Glass in the System Tray (near the clock) or if you don't see the Magnifying Glass, go to Start - Programs - Network Associates - Virus Scan Console.
2)  Highlight Auto Update and choose Start from the taskbar.

Next, run a virus scan on the hard drive.  To do this follow these steps:

1) Highlight Scan Drive `C´ and choose Start from the taskbar.
2) If a virus is found contact the Help Desk to help you get rid of it.
3) If no viruses are found and you would like a more thorough check of your system, contact the Help Desk.
