Activities for religious studies students
Extracurricular
experiences at Saint Martin's give depth and breadth to a student's classroom
learning. Many religious studies majors are members of the Campus Ministry
Club, a community service group whose intention is to serve not only the Saint
Martin's community but also the larger community. The club sponsors events such as blood drives, clothing
drives, soup kitchens, prison ministry and Habitat for Humanity work
parties. The club also ministers to the social and spiritual dimensions of
college life.
Religious
studies students can also become members of different clubs activities that are chosen to
increase knowledge of the arts, as well as to support and encourage students involved in
artistic endeavors. Each year, the club publishes a collection of student,
faculty and staff literary works in "The Silver Trumpet" and present
awards for outstanding student
writing.
