Master in Teaching (MIT)

The Master in Teaching program provides the opportunity for simultaneously earning your teacher certification and a master's degree. Certifications may be obtained in the areas of: Elementary education, secondary education and special education.

Those interested in an accelerated credential program should also look at the STAR program offered by the Saint Martin's University College of Education.

According to the most recent survey by Washington state, Saint Martin's University had the highest teacher placement percentage in Washington state.

We have designed our schedule to work with yours. Our program is the only non-cohort based program in the area which means that you aren't locked into a fixed schedule and have the flexibility to adapt the program to your needs.
MIT program convenience offeres at JBLM Convenience
The MIT program is also offered at the Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM) Main and JBLM McChord Field sites, making it convenient for those in the military, their spouses and those in the community near the base. Some coursework toward the degree is also offered at our extended learning division at Centralia College.
