Meet our staff
Office of Finance
Susan joined the Saint Martin's community in October of 2010. Her most recent
position was as an associate consultant with Sterling Associates, where she
established herself as a financial management and modeling expert. Prior to that
role, she worked as the planning project manager at Russell Investment Group for
seven years. She has also held various finance positions for different state
agencies over a fourteen year period.
Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1990 and her MBA in 2003,
both at Saint Martin's.
Linda has been with Saint Martin’s University since 1991. She worked as
an administrative assistant with the School of Business for nine years
and then moved to the finance office in 2000. She was the payroll
manager for two years and then became the accountant for the university.
Linda was recently promoted to the Controller position. She obtained her
bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2001 and her MBA in 2005, both from
Saint Martin’s. Linda enjoys playing golf, working in her garden,
traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.
Payroll administrator and reports analyst
Laura joined Saint Martins University in February 2007. She comes with
20 years of accounting and purchasing experience primarily in the
manufacturing industry; most recently with Mutual Materials. Laura holds
a BA in business/communications from Linfield College. An Olympia
native, Laura, enjoys her two children, music, quilting and hiking.
Sandra (Sandy) Alexandre
Accounts payable specialist
Sandy has been with Saint Martin's University since 1999. She was the
HR coordinator until coming to the Finance Office June 09. Most of her
experience over the years has been in finance. Sandy enjoys spending
time with her family which includes two grandchildren, one dog and two
cats. going to plays and concerts. Sandy came to WA after being raised
in Michigan, then living in Florida and Germany.
Accounts payable procurement specialist
Karen has been with Saint Martin's University since 2008. She was
with advancement Services until October, 2009 and then moved into the
Finance office. She comes with 28 years experience working in
administrative, AP/AR/payroll, and HR/training positions. Karen was born
and raised in Vancouver, Canada and now lives in Olympia with her
husband Doug and their 2 golden retrievers. They enjoy traveling, going
to plays and long walks.
