The Abbey Church has rightly been described as the spiritual center of the entire Saint Martin’s community. It is home to the monastic community, which gathers in the church four times daily for prayer and liturgy.

In addition, Campus Ministry celebrates a weekly Student Liturgy on Sunday evenings during the academic year. The church is also host to an acclaimed annual concert series, Abbey Church Events, sponsored by Saint Martin’s Abbey.

Its serene atmosphere, brilliant stained glass, colorful banners, and surrounding gardens beckon many guests back to the Saint Martin’s campus.

The Abbey Church architects were Bennett and Johnson of Olympia, and it was built by Fitzpatrick and McIntyre of Tacoma.
