Abbey Church virtual tour
Etched glass doors

Etched glass doors separate the sanctuary from the church entrance as well as the Blessed Sacrament Chapel from the Eucharistic Hall. The etchings were done by Seth Polanski in 1976, and they depict an array of things.  Images on the glass in the entry are taken from the writings of the prophet Ezekiel. They represent the traditional symbols for the four evangelists: John, the eagle; Matthew, the man; Mark, the lion; and Luke the ox.  Central on the doors of the Blessed Sacrament Chapel is the tree of life, and there are images of the Cathedral of Chartres and Saint Martin as Bishop of Tours.
