Planning your event

1. Reserve the room.

Campus Dining provides catering services to multiple locations on the campus of Saint Martin's. Classroom refreshments, conference room plated meals, outdoor barbeques are all possibilities on campus. Campus Dining is also the exclusive caterer for the Norman Worthington Conference Center and Pavilion. If you are having an event at this location it needs to be booked well in advance through the Worthington Center Office, at 360–438–4488. Be sure to take into account enough setup and breakdown time for your event.

2. Decide what type of event you want.

Will it be a banquet, a reception, or a coffee break? Will your guests stand or be seated? Will it be formal, casual or “in between”? What are your budget limitations? While not every decision needs to be finalized right from the get go, the more you can decide on now, the easier your planning will be.

3. Plan the event with the catering department.

The earlier its planned the better. It should be no later than seven business days (Monday – Friday) prior to your event. Most arrangements can be done over the phone, but some events with special menus or room setups may require an appointment. For groups of 100 or more we ask that you contact the catering department a minimum of 14 days prior to your event to be sure all the details have been worked out.

Once the menu and details have been agreed on, the catering department will send a CEO, Catering Event Order, as confirmation for your event. Your requirement is to review the order carefully for any discrepancies, mark the changes and return a fax copy of the CEO with your signature.
