Tuesday, April 3, 2012

as the graduate that is looking for their first "full-time" job!

Interactive LinkedIn training
Students received hands on LinkedIn training by Nathaly Kolp from the
Employment Security Department on Wednesday, November 30th. LinkedIn
is the world’s largest professional network with over 120
million members and growing rapidly. Participants created
LinkedIn profiles and
learned how to connect with groups and professionals.
International Student Etiquette Lunch
Since the campus wide etiquette dinner in October was a huge
success, international students hosted their own on Thursday,
December 1st.
Etiquette Dinner
This event was back by popular demand! In October,
students enjoyed a presentation of basic dining and business
professional etiquette over a delicious meal prepared by Bon
Appétit. The event was utilized as a practice for a job
interview over a meal (a common practice by employers for
professional positions). Thanks to the generosity of the Office
of Campus Life and Enterprise Rent A Car, we were happy to
provide the event at no cost. A tentative spring 2012 date has
been set for Thursday, March 8, 2012! For a list of etiquette
dinner resources, click

Health Sciences Pre-Med Information sessions
There were two presentations on medical schools. The first was a
panel of osteopathic physicians held in mid-October.
The second was an information session by Dr. Hartman and Dr.
Olney on a presentation they attended this summer on medical
school admissions. This program was also held in mid-October.
Both sessions talked about the application process and
alternative career paths. For information from the sessions,
please contact the Career Center.
