All new students participate in SMU's two step orientation program. These fun programs help ease the transition to SMU by providing opportunities for students to meet new people, explore campus resources and prepare for the academic years ahead.

Saint Martin’s orientation process consists of two steps:

Step 1. Advising & Registration
Step 2. SMU Beginnings Orientation

For both Advising & Registration and SMU Beginnings orientation programs, each new student will be assigned to a small group of students led by one of our experienced Student Orientation Staff (SOS) who will guide the group through various activities and programs.

The orientation schedule is designed to provide students with important information to prepare them for their SMU experience, while at the same time allowing for free time to get settled and prepare for classes.
