MBA program

Saint Martin's Master of Business Administration Program provides students with decision-making tools and an understanding of the total administrative system. The program develops a capacity for understanding managerial relationships and provides specialized training and personal research in a functional field of management.

While the program can be completed in a single calendar year, most students are encouraged to progress at a more leisurely pace. The program operates year-round. All classes are offered at night to accommodate working students.

Admission
Admission to the program is open to all college graduates with a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution who have completed the Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

Acceptance is based on a combined grad point average/GMAT score, rather than a minimum requirement on either criterion. Students lacking specific coursework in accounting, finance, economics, marketing and management may have to complete supplemental work.

Graduate Management Admission Test  (GMAT)
Applications for the Graduate Management Aptitude Test are available from the Saint Martin's University Office of Career Services, the office of the Division of Business and Economics or either of the University's extension campus offices at Fort Lewis or McChord. Saint Martin's test code is 85F-Q1-26..

Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL)
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for all students whose native language is not English. The TOEFL is not required for foreign students who received their bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. A minimum score of 525 is required for acceptance to the program. Computer based (CBT) score of 197 of internet-based (IBT) score of 71 is considered equivalent to the paper-based score of 525. Applications can be obtained from the Office of International Education.

International students also must submit a declaration of finances statement indicating their financial status. This statement must attest to the student's ability to finance his or her education at Saint Martin's for the two years needed to complete the degree. A letter of full guarantee or support submitted by any sponsoring private party or institution will satisfy the need for a financial responsibility statement.

Application for admission to the program can be made at any time prior to the beginning of a new term.

Applicants must submit:

  • Completed graduate application form.

  • $35.00 application fee (non-refundable).

The terms are as follows:
Fall I         August-October
Fall II        October-December
Spring I     January-March
Spring II    March-May
Summer I  May-July

Registration
Registration must be completed by the second class meeting of the term. Students enrolled at the extensions for three credit hours per eight-week term are classified as full-time students. Foreign students must complete nine credit hours during 16 weeks (two eight-week terms) to be considered full-time. Returning students please register at https://iqweb.stmartin.edu/iqweb/Secure/logon.asp. First time students should register in person in order for an IQWeb account to be set up for you.
