Women’s Golf: Saints host SMU Invitational

Olympia, WA – Stacie Henden and Maria Laraisse led
the women’s golf team to a second place finish at the Saint Martin’s
Women’s Invitational which wrapped up play Tuesday at the Olympia Golf
and Country Club.
Henden and Laraisse finished tied for third after
two days of play at 168. Henden shot a 88 in round one and a round two
low of 80. Laraisse was tied for first at the end of day one with 79 and
shot 89 in the second round.
Babe Prante took fifth with a two day total of 169.
Alexi Coltom was 13th after shooting 178 while Lauren Roberts finished
14th at 179. As a team the Saints finished with a two round total of
677.
British Columbia University’s Kaitlin Troop was the
medalist of the event while Melissa Core took second helping the
Thunderbirds to a first place finish with a team total of 663. Concordia
University was third at 712 and the University of Victoria BC was fourth
with 713.
The Saints match will be April 9-10 as they take
part in the Chico State InterWest Insurance Invitational.
