Women’s Golf: Saints place fourth at WWU Invitational

Bellingham, WA – The Saint Martin’s women’s golf
team finished fourth at the Western Washington Invitational which
wrapped up play Tuesday. The Saints shot 993 as a team over the three
round tournament.
Stacie Henden and Babe Prante led the Saints
finishing tied for 11th both shooting a 243. Molly Jensen placed 26th
with a 255 while Maria Laraisse came in 36th at 261. Bridgette Kennedy
finished up the tournament in 39th after shooting a 263.
Host Western Washington University walked away with
the title after shooting 953. CSU-Chico State placed second with a 975
followed by Central Oklahoma who shot 991.
“We showed a lot of depth as a team,” said head
coach Bob Grisham. “Babe and Stacie played very well and consistent.
Bridget and Molly also played well in their first tournament of the
year.”
The Saints head north of the border for their next
match when they travel to Vancouver, B.C. to take part in the University
of British Columbia Women’s Invitational.
