March 26, 2008
Tacoma, WA – Jamie Herrick threw a one hit shutout
to key Saint Martin’s 10-0 victory in game one of a doubleheader against the
University of Puget Sound Wednesday afternoon. Game two was called in
the second inning due to a mixture of rain and hail.

runs on three hits including two homeruns.
Morris put the Saints on the board in the first
inning with a three-run blast to left center. They would add two more in
the third on singles by Morris and Lisa Holombo.
The Saints plated five more in the sixth as Brandi
Klemm sent one over the left field wall to bring in three, two batters
later Morris would send her second one out of the park to cap off the
inning. Morris leads the GNAC in home runs with nine and RBI with 28.
Herrick, who improved to 3-6 on the season, had a
no-hitter until the bottom of the sixth when Valarie Barone singled for
the Loggers only hit. Herrick walked five while striking out four in the
appearance.

take part in the Mizuno Tournament of Champions hosted by Cal State
